Amira Cummings of Cheyenne East is a versatile athlete when it comes to track and field. She's made a name for herself in the pole vault and in the sprints so she will be taking those skills to Concordia College in Nebraska.

At the 2020 state indoor meet in Gillette, Cummings placed 2nd in the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.43 and took 3rd in the pole vault, clearing 11 feet even. She was named all-state thanks to that kind of effort. Cummings also competed in the gigantic Simplot Games in Idaho taking 8th place in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 11-3. She also ran the 60-meter dash and finished 30th,

In the 2019 outdoor season, Cummings went 11 feet even to take 4th in the 4A pole vault at the state meet and she placed 5th in the 100 with a clocking of 13.16. Cummings also ran in a couple of relays as her Thunderbird squad placed 4th in the 1600 medley and 8th in the 4x100. In her sophomore year back in 2018, She took 4th at state in the pole vault at 9-6 and 7th in the 100-meter dash.

Concordia is an NAIA school located in Seward, Nebraska,
