It is Week 9 for American Legion Baseball teams in Wyoming. This week marks the halfway point of the 2025 season. The slate features the most conference games. Only one tournament is on the docket, which will be in Riverton with their Roy Peck Wood Bat on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Outside of league games, some will take on regional foes, and a few teams will be off this weekend.

TUESDAY, MAY 27:

Final Score: Riverton Raiders 17 Green River Knights 4 (conference game) - the Raiders broke it open with 6 runs in the 3rd inning. Trujillo had a 2-run HR, and Baker hit a grand slam. Spradlin added 4 hits.

Final Score: Riverton Raiders 13 Green River Knights 3 (conference game) - 7 runs in the 7th put the cap on Riverton's road league sweep. Spradlin, Anderson, and Heikkila drove in 2 runs each.

Final Score: Gillette Rustlers 8 Buffalo Bulls 2 (conference game) - the Rustlers jumped out to a 5-0 lead and earned the league win. Smith had 1 hit & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Gillette Rustlers 8 Buffalo Bulls 3 (conference game) - 3 runs in the 4th and 3 more in the 5th provided the separation for the Rustlers. Reed & Poole had 1 hit & 2 RBIs apiece.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 28:

Final Score: Westco Zephyrs (Scottsbluff, NE) 5 Gillette Riders 2 - the Zephyrs scored 3 runs in the 6th to break a 2-2 tie.

Final Score: Wheatland Lobos 16 Cheyenne Eagles 11 (conference game) - after trailing 9-8, the Lobos scored the next 8 runs over 3 innings to get the league road win. Meyer had 2 hits & 4 RBIs, and Raser added 2 hits & 3 RBIs. Gamo had 1 hit & drove in 4 runs for Cheyenne.

Final Score: Wheatland Lobos 11 Cheyenne Eagles 0 (conference game) - the Lobos scored 4 runs in the 1st inning and rolled to the conference sweep. Collar & McKee combined on a 3-hit shutout with 15 strikeouts. Peralta had 3 hits & 3 RBIs to lead the Wheatland offense.

Gillette Riders vs. USA Prime Miller 17U (Littleton, CO) - canceled

Torrington Tigers at Laramie Rangers A (conference games) - rained out; the make-up date is TBD

THURSDAY, MAY 29:

Final Score: Gillette Riders 15 Cheyenne Hawks 0 (conference game) - the Riders broke the game open with 8 runs in the 2nd inning. Smith threw a 1-hitter with 6 Ks and only 1 walk. Petersen led a 14-hit attack with 3 hits (3B) & 3 RBIs.

Final Score: Gillette Riders 12 Cheyenne Hawks 0 (conference game) - Black tossed a no-hitter with 11 Ks and 1 walk for Gillette. Partlow led the offense with 2 hits & 4 RBIs.

Final Score: Utah Yaks 11 Evanston Outlaws 4 - the Yaks led 7-0 in the 4th before Evanston scored. Ben Lail and Rich had 1 hit & 1 RBI for the Outlaws.

Final Score: Utah Yaks 8 Evanston Outlaws 7 - Utah led 8-2, and the Outlaws' rally fell just short. Windley had 1 hit & 2 RBIs for Evanston.

Final Score: Gillette Rustlers 5 Spearfish (SD) Spartans JV 3 (9-inning game) - the Rustlers rallied with 3 runs in the 8th inning to get the victory. Percifield had 2 hits & 1 RBI. The go-ahead runs scored on a pickoff throwing error.

FRIDAY, MAY 30:

Final Score: Casper Drillers 7 Douglas Cats 6 - 8 inns. (conference game) - a bases-loaded walk secured the win for the Drillers. Hobson, Siemens, and Gleason had 2 hits & 1 RBI each. Robertson 2 hits (3B) & 2 RBI for the Cats.

Final Score: Casper Drillers 8 Douglas Cats 7 (conference game) - Casper built an 8-2 lead and held off the Cats' rally, when they scored 5 in the 7th inning. Hobson had a triple & drove in two runs, and Skinner added 1 hit & 2 RBIs. Douglas took advantage of 12 walks.

Final Score: Idaho Falls Knights 15 Jackson Giants 4 - a pair of 6-run innings gave the Knights the win.

Final Score: Jackson Giants 14 Idaho Falls Knights 7 - Jackson pulled away with 6 run in the 5th inning. A steal of home, two bases-loaded walks, and an RBI single prompted the big inning. Gray had 3 hits & 5 RBIs for the Giants.

***Final Score: Lovell Mustangs 9 Powell Pioneers 7 - a 4-run 7th inning was the difference for Lovell. Hedges & Files had 1 hit & 2 RBIs each.

***Final Score: Lovell Mustangs 12 Powell Pioneers 3 - after trailing 3-2, the Mustangs surged in front with 7 runs in the 3rd inning. Morgan, Jackson, Hedges, and Rael all finished with 3 hits & 2 RBIs. Jackson hit a 2-run home run in the 5th that provided the final margin.
