The next step in the postseason for Wyoming American Legion Baseball teams is the Northwest Regional Tournaments. This year, only one team is participating. The Cheyenne Sixers will be in Billings, MT, for the Northwest Regional Tournament for Region 7 at Dehler Park. The Powell Pioneers won the A State Tournament, but for various reasons, they opted not to go to Roseburg, OR. Wyoming will not have a team at the Northwest Class A Regional Tournament (NWCART).

Both tournaments are Aug. 7-11, 2024, and have an eight-team field in a modified, double-elimination bracket.

Here’s a look at the schedule in Billings. Times are subject to change.

Friday, Aug. 9:

Saturday, Aug. 10:

(Pairings for these two games will not match previous opponents against each other.)

Sunday, Aug. 11:

Final Score: Regional Championship Game: Billings (MT) Scarlets 5 Eugene (OR) Challengers 4

Final Score: Regional Championship Game No. 2: Billings Scarlets 7 Eugene Challengers 0 - Billings Scarlets win the regional and advance to the World Series.

The winner advances to the American Legion World Series in Shelby, NC, on Aug. 15-20, 2024.

A Northwest Regional Tournament Note

Wyoming will not have a team at the NWCART in Roseburg, OR. Two teams will represent Oregon, Montana, and Utah. Alaska and Idaho have one team apiece. With no Wyoming team in the field, WyoPreps will not be tracking this tournament.
