Burns’ Rylee Jo Ward is in the 1,000-Point Club
Burns senior Rylee Jo Ward is among the most recent prep basketball players in the state to surpass 1,000 points in her high school career.
Ward accomplished the feat in a game at home against Rawlins last month.
This season, Ward is averaging 13.4 points per game and shooting 34 percent from the field. She’s adding 2.7 assists and 4.2 steals per contest. That has helped Burns to a 6-12 overall record and a 2-1 mark in conference games.
Ward is a four-year starter for the Broncs. She was an all-state selection after her junior season last year when she averaged 16.1 points, 3.3 assists, and 4.1 steals per game. Ward has been a two-time all-conference player for the Broncs. As a sophomore, she averaged 14.5 points per game.
Ward is also an all-state volleyball player and participates in outdoor track and field at Burns High School. She has participated at the state track meet two times in her prep career.
Congratulations to Rylee!
