Campbell County Utilizes Corner Kick Goals to Beat Thunder Basin [VIDEO]

The Campbell County boys' soccer team picked up their first-ever win over cross-town rival Thunder Basin on Thursday night.

They did it in a not-so-typical fashion. How about two goals directly off the corner kick?

Campbell County's Jose Aguayo scored the two Camel goals off of made corner kicks. According to Alex Taylor of the Gillette News-Record, he made the same shot from the same corner for both goals.

Campbell County High School Athletic Director Zach Schmidt got one of them on video and kindly submitted it to WyoPreps.

The final score was 2-0 on Thursday night. It was Campbell County's first victory over the Bolts in boys soccer since Thunder Basin High School opened in Gillette in 2017.

The Camels are on a hot streak, as they've won four straight entering the postseason.

The 4A East Regional Tournament is in Cheyenne next Thursday through Saturday, May 12-14, 2022.
