Casper Hosts 2021 Wyoming State Nordic Skiing Championships

The 2021 Wyoming High School Nordic Skiing State Championships are Friday and Saturday on Casper Mountain.

The Casper Mountain Winter Nordic Trails system will serve as the venue.

GIRLS:

Teams Participating = Cody, Jackson, Kelly Walsh, Lander, Laramie, Natrona County, Pinedale

Defending Champ = Jackson (seeking 10th consecutive title & 16th in school history)

Defending Event Champs = Kate Brigham, Jackson – Freestyle; Natalie O’Brien, Jackson – Classic

Schedule:

Friday: 5km Classic, 10 a.m.

Saturday: 10km Freestyle; starts 15 minutes after the boys’ race has concluded

BOYS:

Teams Participating = Cody, Jackson, Kelly Walsh, Lander, Laramie, Natrona County, Pinedale

Defending Champ = Jackson (seeking a 3rd straight title, 11th in last 12 years, 20th in school history)

Defending Event Champs = both Freestyle and Classic will have a new champion this year

Schedule:

Friday: 5km Classic; starts 20 minutes after girls’ race has concluded

Saturday: 10km Freestyle, 10 a.m.
