PhotoFest! Oil City/Casper Basketball Tournament

There were several season-opening basketball tournaments over the weekend and Casper played host to the 3-day Oil City Tip-Off. On the boy's side, Laramie ranked #1 in our 4A WyoPreps poll, won all 3 of their games. The Plainsmen defeated Kelly Walsh, Natrona, and Green River by sizable margins. Sheridan also won 3 games in the tournament with victories over Green River, Kelly Walsh, and Natrona. Arvada West from Colorado went 3-0 while GR, NC, and KW went 0-3.

On the girl's side, defending 4A state champion Sheridan posted wins over Green River, Kelly Walsh, and Natrona with Arvada West beating those teams as well. Laramie, Natrona, and Green River went 1-2 while Kelly Walsh went 0-3. A tournament like this will give every team something to work on in practice and we have a long way to go in the season.
