Cheyenne Central's Richard Prescott had a tremendous performance in the Wiseman Track meet in Torrington on Friday with 3 wins and a 2nd place finish. He took 1st in the triple jump at 43-4.50 and won both of the hurdle events. Prescott ran 15.56 to win the 110 and 41.54 to take the 300. He took 2nd in the long jump in Torrington and owns the best marks in the state this season in the triple jump and the long jump.

At the state indoor track meet back in March, he was 2nd in the triple jump and 15th in the long jump. At last year's state outdoor meet,  Prescott was solid in 4 events, taking 5th in the 300 hurdles, 7th in the 110 hurdles, 6th in the triple jump, and 11th in the long jump. The junior has displayed marked improvement this season and has his sites on the state track meet in Casper in two weeks. Regionals will be first this week in Laramie so there is a lot on the line.

We caught up with Prescott in Torrington to chat about his efforts in the Wiseman and the season to date.
