Cheyenne East Handles Laramie to Begin 4A Football Season

Cheyenne East has a new complexion in football for 2024 and their winning ways continue as they downed Laramie on the opening night of 4A football 37-6. The T-Birds have a new running back in Keyshawn Brown, and he had a great game with 157 yards rushing and a touchdown. Fellow running back Anthony Pacheco reached the 100-yard mark rushing with two scores and T-Bird quarterback Nolan Horton threw for 114 yards, had a rushing TD, and a field goal.

It was a tough night for the Laramie Plainsmen when they had the ball with quarterback Fisher Frude contributing a rushing touchdown and Max Alexander caught 7 balls for 111 yards. The Plainsmen are looking for their first winning season since 2000 and will be on the road Friday in Casper to take on Kelly Walsh. Cheyenne East has a short road trip across town to take on Cheyenne South.
