Sheridan and Cheyenne East locked horns on Friday in a match-up of 2 of the better teams in 4A with playoff seedings up for grabs. Sheridan got on the board first thanks to Garrett Coon who got into the end zone from 12 yards out to put the Broncs in front 7-0. It was an eventful 2nd quarter with East quarterback Graedyn Buell throwing a 24 yard TD pass to Ox Schroeder to even contest at 7. Sheridan answered right back with Garrett Coon scoring again, this time on a 28-yard run.  East responded with a TD of their own in that 2nd quarter as Buell found Chance Aumiller for 1 yard and a score. So it was even at 14 apiece at halftime.

In the 3rd quarter, Garrett Coon contributed touchdowns 3 and 4. A 2 run and a 6-yard reception bump the Bronc lead to 28-14.  East got back into the game as Buell threw his 3rd TD pass of the game, this one going to Aumiller so that cut the gap to 28-21.  That was followed by a kick-off return for a touchdown from Sheridan’s Carter McComb so it 35-21. But the Thunderbirds of East hung right in there as Buell found Christian Anderton for 46 yards and a touchdown to get within 8 at 35-27.

To the 4th quarter and Coon found the end zone for the 5th time as Sheridan outlasts Cheyenne East 45-27. So the Broncs at 8-1 on the year will be the 2nd seed in the 4A playoffs and will host Kelly Walsh in round one. East gets the 4th seed at 6-3 and will host Natrona in the first round on Friday.
