The Cody volleyball team has made a few statements to start the 2022 season so this is a team that will be reckoned with. Over the weekend, Cody played host to the Border War tournament with schools from in-state and Montana. On Friday, the Fillies defeated Lockwood, Montana 25-6, 25-12, and 25-4. They followed that up with a 25-16, 25-13, and 25-8 victory over Dawson County, MT.  Cody continued their winning ways on Saturday with a straight-set win over Billings Central 25-6, 25-19, and 25-17 then finished the tournament with a 25-12, 25-9, and 25-15 win over Hardin, MT.

Cody returns two all-conference players from a year ago, junior Molly Hays and senior Kennedi Niemann. Plus the team has a couple of other seniors in Reece Niemann and Victory Buck. In addition to those players, Kenzie Ratcliff has transferred in from Powell.

Cody started out the season with an impressive performance in the Riverton tournament with straight-set wins over Pinedale, Sheridan, and Riverton on the first day of the tournament and backed that up with straight-set wins over Shoshoni and Lander on day 2. So the Fillies have not dropped a set so far this season.

Also in that Border War Tournament, Worland went 3-1, Riverside went 2-0, Powell, Riverton, and Lovell went 2-2, Lander 1-3, and Thermopolis 0-4.
