Thermopolis football player Delmonico Dukes polished off his prep career with a Shrine Bowl appearance and will be headed to Chadron State in the fall. Dukes was a 2A All-State selection as a defensive back with a whopping 7 interceptions, which led the classification in 2024, along with 3 blocked punts and 40 tackles. He also had a receiving touchdown, a pair of rushing touchdowns, and a punt return for a TD. Dukes was named 2A All-Conference in his junior year with 3 receiving scores, two fumble recoveries, and an interception.

Dukes displayed his athleticism in track and field with a 5th place finish in the 2A 200 Meters at the State Outdoor Track Meet in 23.85. He took 6th in the 100 at State with a time of 11.82, and his 4x100 relay team was 3rd in Casper last month. Dukes also placed 12th in the 2A long jump.

Dukes also played on the 2A State Champion Bobcat basketball team, averaging 8 points and 3 rebounds per game. He shot 55% from 2-point range in his senior year.

Chadron State in Nebraska is a Division II school that competes in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
