The Douglas girls basketball team was the overwhelming favorite to win the 3A state championship and breezed through the state tournament by winning 3 games by an average of 40 points. The Bearcats took home the trophy thanks to a 51-11 win over Lyman on Thursday in Casper as Allyson Fertg had 16 points. The 6-4 center is an impossible defensive match-up opposing teams and there were times this season where she scored at will.

It wasn't a one-woman team by any means as Douglas had plenty of talent all over the floor. We talked with Fertig, her teammate Joslin Igo and her coach Cody Helenbolt after that win on Thursday in Casper.
