Ellie Thomas of Thunder Basin Commits to Northwest College

Thunder Basin libero Ellie Thomas will move on to the junior college level next season as she will compete for the Northwest College in Powell volleyball team. Thomas was named the Co-Defensive Player of the Year in 4A this past season and was an all-state and all-conference selection. Thomas holds the school record for digs with 527 and her team has placed 3rd at the 4A State Tournament for the last 2 seasons.

Her sister Jaycie is a former Northwest player and her former Bolt teammate Elsa Clark is a member of the Trapper volleyball squad. Northwest went 24-7 this past season going 0-2 in the Region IX Tournament. Thomas has also competed in track and field in both of the hurdle events and the high jump.
