PHOTOS: Nebraska Extends Win Streak, Defeats Wyoming 46-6 in 6-Man All-Star Clash

The Wyoming all-stars struggled to finish drives last Friday night and lost the 15th edition of the Wyoming-Nebraska 6-man Shootout in Chadron, 46-6. The Cornhusker State jumped out to a two-score lead and never trailed in its fourth consecutive victory in the series. Wyoming got within 10 points late in the first half, but they allowed a TD just before halftime and failed to score in the second half.

Nebraska opened the scoring with a 9-yard TD run with 6:57 left in the first quarter. They added to their lead with a 15-yard TD pass with 8:36 left in the second quarter.

Wyoming scored its only touchdown of the game with 1:14 remaining in the first half. H.E.M.’s Samuel Ramirez hauled in a 6-yard TD pass a few plays after picking up a critical first down earlier in the drive. After a failed PAT kick, Wyoming trailed 16-6. That’s as close as they would get.

Nebraska answered with a late drive and scored on a 9-yard TD pass with one second left. That made it 24-6 at halftime.

It was all Nebraska in the Second Half

The Cornhusker State all-stars added three TDs in the second half. They scored on a 3-yard TD run midway through the third quarter and added a 2-yard TD pass with just over a minute remaining in the period. Nebraska capped the scoring with a 7-yard TD pass with 2:30 left in the game.

The final score was 46-6.

Nebraska takes a 9-6 lead in the annual series. Wyoming has not won this 6-man all-star game since 2022.
