WyoPreps Top Football Prospects To Watch In 2025
The 2025 Wyoming High School football season is still over two weeks away, but it will be fun to watch the returning talent and those who make a fresh name for themselves this fall. Each year, plenty of prep players from the Cowboy State continue their football careers at the next level. Most of them sign with small college programs around the region. There are a few who get an opportunity to play Division I football at the FBS or FCS levels.
Over the last few years, you might think of Mason Drube, Cooper Lawson, Chase Hatch, Billy McCool, Dane Steel, and Colson Coon, among the players who are pursuing their dream at the highest level of college football programs.
WyoPreps has compiled a list of the top prospects from the Class of 2026 who we think have a shot to play at the D-I level. We know there are many very good players in the state, but we're also trying to be realistic based on past numbers.
Beck Haswell, Sheridan Broncs – already verbally committed to the University of Wyoming
Breck Reed, Sheridan Broncs
Justus Platts, Mountain View Buffalos - already verbally committed to Utah Tech University
Collin Roberts, Douglas Bearcats
Cooper Lancaster, Star Valley Braves
Jack Garrett, Cheyenne Central Indians
Keyshawn Brown, Cheyenne East Thunderbirds
What do you think? Who are we missing? Let us know if you think another recruit has what it takes to make it to the top level of college football.

Over 70 percent said Sheridan will make it five in a row in Class 4A football. More than 55 percent of voters said no to whether someone other than Star Valley and Cody will challenge in 3A. In a close vote, just over 45 percent of poll voters feel Big Horn will repeat as the 2A football champs, while over 41 percent said they will not repeat. We asked fans if Class 1A 9-man football is the most wide-open race for the title, and they agreed. Over 79 percent of respondents said yes, it is the most wide-open race. Finally, in Class 1A 6-man, more than 55 percent of fans think Little Snake River and Burlington will be the top teams in that division.
The 2025 season begins on August 29, 2025.
