The fortunes of Green River boys basketball is looking up as the Wolves are 10-4 so far overall and 5-0 in 4A West play. This program is light years ahead of where it was from  2013 to 2017 where they won a grand total of 7 games in that time frame.

Green River has a dynamic scorer in Dylan Taylor who had 11 points in their win over Natrona on Saturday and that allowed him to join the 1000 point club in career scoring. He has been averaging 16.9 points per game this season which is 5th in 4A along with 8 rebounds per game. Last season, he was an all-state performer averaging 15.2 points per game and shot 62% from the field. He also averaged in double figures as a sophomore (15.1) and Taylor can create his own shots just about everywhere in the floor.

The Wolves have a great chance of making the state tournament which would be the program's 4th straight appearance. We talked with Dylan Taylor and his teammate Jax Peterson after that win in Casper on Saturday. It was time to celebrate that 1000 point achievement.
