Green River's Madelyn Heiser Lands at South Dakota Mines

Former Green River athlete Madelyn Heiser found a new college home after he original choice, Sheridan College decided to scrap their athletic program. She will continue her basketball journey at the South Dakota School of Mines, pursuing a degree in Pre-Professional Health Sciences.

Heiser is a 5-9 point guard who averaged 12 points a game this past season and is a two-time all-state selection. Her Green River team posted 21 wins in 2019-20, the most the program has produced in over two decades.

Heiser was a solid all-around athlete, earning all-conference honors in volleyball.
