High School Spring Rodeo Season – Week 5
Casper is going to be a very busy place this weekend.
Not only the state track and field meet going on, the high school rodeo circuit will be competing on the other side of town.
Here are the winners from last week’s Gillette rodeo. Saturday’s winner is listed first, followed by Sunday’s winner.

Barebacks: No winner on either day.
Barrel Racing: Rhianna Gail (Farson) won both days.
Breakaway Roping: Coralee Spratt (Lysite) and Emily Faber (Rozet)
Bull Riding: Wiley King (Casper) and Tyler Orchard (Baggs)
Goat Tying: Jaime Thompson (Whitney, NE) and Shai Schaefer (Torrington)
Pole Bending: Breanna Reimler (Buffalo) and Teal Stoll (Pavillion)
Saddle Broncs: No winner on either day.
Steer Wrestling: Cutter DeHart (Laramie) and Austin Eller (Glendo)
Tie Down Calf Roping: Bailey Young (Gillette) and J.W. Thrush (Gillette)
Team Roping Saturday: Ameila McGuire (Wheatland) and J.W. Thrush (Gillette)
Team Roping Sunday: Garrett Grieve (Baggs) and Coley Nicholls (Kinnear)
The top 4 in each event at the end of the season are invited to compete at the High School National Finals Rodeo, to be held in Rock Springs in July.
