The Broncs were able to hang around with the Bulldogs, then went on a 12-0 run in the 4th quarter, and held on for the win.

We apologize for not having highlights of the first 3 quarters.

None of these players know what it's like to play in the state tournament, but Coach Sean Shockley was drawing up a plan to win this game...one that could pay off down the road.

#1 Wheatland vs. Jackson...this game being played in Lander...4th quarter...Wheatland wearing the black, up 1 and Kendrick Jackson's finger roll will make it 57-54...he scored 13, but had some foul problems.

Jackson would stay in this fight...and took advantage of some second chances...Brenner Peterson scores on the putback...he led all scorers with 25, and that would close the gap to 1...it's 57-56.

The extra tries were paying off...here's another example...no good on the first shot, but Wells Knori will grab the offensive rebound, drive and lay in 2 of his 12...as the lead would change hands...it's 60-to-57.

Of course the initial shot worked sometimes as well...Peterson will score off of the inbounds...and the Broncs were on a roll, as they would go ahead 62-to-57.

The one thing about momentum...it's hard to stop...Sam McMullen poured in a dozen...he wanted the 3 initially, but he will settle for the 2...because his squad was out in front 64-to-57.

The 4th quarter can sometimes make or break a team in a game...for the Broncs...they were making it happen...Peterson again...that would cap off a 12-zip run...and things were looking promising, with the score at 66-to-57.

The clock was on their side as well...but they took no chances, and got extra points for insurance...Knori with the drive...almost put too much on this one, but he will get the 2...Jackson is in control, ahead 68-59 with about 2 1/2 minutes to go.

The Bulldogs needed points in a hurry...and they had to do what they do best...shoot 3's...Trace Douglas from college range and he'll can one...18 points were his numbers, but his team needs more, down 68-to-62.

After a time-out...the boys in black would steal the inbounds pass...Thain Koger has one defender in front of him, but he'll go up and over that obstacle, to score 2 of his 18...and he has his squad right back in this one...down 68-64.

The lead would shrink to 2, but then the Broncs would find an opening...Peterson was open...one guy in pursuit, but there was nothing between him and the hoop...that was the back-breaker...and Jackson would pull off a stunner, heading into the winter break...winning 73-to-69.
