Multi-sport star Tinley Pierson has signed on with Dickinson State in North Dakota for basketball. This past season on the court, she averaged 13 points and 7 rebounds per game, shooting 41% from the floor and72% from the free-throw line. As a junior, Pierson threw in 13 points a contest with 6 boards, shooting 34% from the field and 53% from the line. In Pierson's sophomore year. she averaged 14 points and 7 rebounds per game, shooting 37% from the floor and 56% from the line. She was named 1A all-state in all three of those seasons.

Pierson is also a two-time all-state selection in volleyball as the Bucs took 3rd at the 1A State Tournament in 2020. Back in 2019, she placed in three events at the 1A State Track and Field meet, taking 2nd in the pole vault, 6th in the high jump, and 7th in the 300 hurdles. She was also an all-state pick in this sport.

She gives a lot of credit to her mother Laura for the basketball skills she possesses. Laura Pierson is Kaycee's head coach in girls basketball and is a former player at Casper College.

Dickinson State is an NAIA school that plays in the North Star Conference. Their women's basketball program went 9-13 this past season.
