Jonny Kulow from Lander has been the state's best prep swimmer for the last couple of years and concluded his high school career on Friday, leading his Tiger team to their 26th consecutive state championships. In the prelims on Thursday, Kulow set the 3A state record in the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle. In the finals, on Friday, he set the 3A record in the 100 free again with a time of 44.15.  It was an eventful final for Kulow, who won the 50 meter free and was on Lander's winning 200 medley relay and the 400 free relay.

Kulow came into the 3A State Meet as the defending champion in the 100 free and the 200 individual medley. He dropped the 200 IM and picked up the 50 free with championship results.  Kulow has signed with Arizona State to continue his career in the pool and last summer competed in the Olympic Trials in the 50 freestyle. The sky is the limit for this young man and we caught up with him at the conclusion of the 3A State Meet at the Campbell County Aquatic Center.
