Douglas High School senior Lane Ewing will further his wrestling career after signing at the University of Mary in North Dakota.

Ewing is a three-time state champion with titles at 132, 145, and 160 pounds during his prep career. His record on the mat over his first three years is 95-6. He will try to join some elite company in the upcoming high school wrestling season going for his fourth individual title. Only 26 wrestlers have won four championships in state history.

Lane was a team captain in both his sophomore and junior seasons.

Ewing also ran cross-country and plays soccer at DHS. He’s been captain of those two squads since his sophomore year, as well.

In 2022, Lane received all-state honors for soccer in Class 3A. He set the season and career school assist records.

Ewing is also the President of both the National Honor Society and Interact Club at Douglas High School. He is the vice president of the DHS Student Council. Lane is a member of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).
