Lauryn Love of Campbell County, who has owned the throwing events in track and field this spring will continue her career at the University of Arizona. In the indoor season, Love won the state championship in the shot-put with a toss of 45-6.25 which was nearly 7 feet better than the nearest competitor.

This year in the outdoor season, Love has the best marks in the state in the shot and the discus, She threw a personal outdoor record of 45-5.5  in the shot at the Gary Benson Meet in Sheridan and also come up with a PR in the discus at the Camel Qualifier at 143-3. She has displayed substantial improvement from her sophomore year which she finished 3rd at the 4A state meet in the shot with a toss of 40-2.5 and took 10th at state in the discus, going 112-4.  She certainly will be the 4A favorite in both weight events at the upcoming state championships in Casper later this month.

Love also played volleyball for the Campbell County team as a right-side hitter. Arizona competes in the Pac-12 Conference which is an ultra-competitive league in track & field.
