The Lingle-Fort Laramie girl's basketball team had to really earn their trip to the state tournament. At the 1A East regional, the Doggers started out with a solid win over Arvada-Clearmont and then lost to Upton in the semi-finals. In a critical loser-out game, LFL defeated Hanna-Elk Mountain 41-35 to punch their ticket. The Doggers ended up taking 4th at that regional after a loss to Rock River

At the 1A state tournament, Lingle drew top-seeded Cokeville in the first round and lost 65-22. Ashley Riley was the only Dogger player in double figures with 10 in a game that was just a tough endeavor all the way around for LFL.

In the consolation round, Lingle took on Saratoga and this game featured a combined 40 points in the 4th quarter. The Doggers couldn't make up an 11 point deficit and lost 46-36 to finish the year 12-15. Riley was the leading scorer again for LFL with 16 and that was her season average. She was named all-state with Kelcie Sargent and Jessy White earning all-conference honors. Riley was a senior this season so the program will really miss her. Sargent and White were seniors too, so they will be missed. Next year's projected team will have just 1 senior.
