Lusk senior Ryan Bruegger is the latest Wyoming prep athlete to surpass 1,000 career points in high school basketball.

Bruegger, a 6-5 post for the Tigers, accomplished the feat against the Southeast Cyclones on Feb. 13, 2021.

You can see in the video above that a teammate saves the ball from going out-of-bounds to Bruegger. He pump fakes a shot, lets a defender go by, and then makes an 18-foot jump shot on the right-wing for the milestone. Yes, the crowd knew it, too.

Bruegger is the 10th player in Tiger basketball history to reach 1,000 career points. The most recent was Hunter Dockery in 2014. Bruegger is moving up the Lusk boys’ basketball scoring chart. He sits ninth all-time but is just one point behind No. 8.

The senior is averaging 17.5 points per game for the Tigers this season. Bruegger has led Lusk to a record of 7-10 overall and a 1-2 mark in 2A Southeast Quadrant play. He is a two-time all-conference selection for the Tigers.
