Lander's Matisse Weaver is one of the few Wyoming prep athletes to sign with an Ivy League school and he will be headed to Dartmouth College in New Hampshire to play football. Weaver recorded 62 tackles from his defensive end spot for the Tigers with 17 of them solo. He also had a couple of sacks and a fumble recovery which earned him all-state status in 3A. On offense, he had 193 yards and 3 touchdowns running the football and 32 catches for 520 yards and 3 TDs. On special teams, Weaver converted 25 extra point attempts and 4 field goals and averaged 37 yards per punt.

In his junior year, Weaver was named all-conference in 3A as a specialist with 14 extra points as a kicker and averaged 34 yards per punt. On defense, he had 26 tackles and on offense, he rushed for 357 yards and 2 scores.

Weaver also made a name for himself in track as he placed 3rd at the 3A State Meet in the 300 hurdles and 6th in the 200-meter dash. He ran the lead-off leg on Lander's state championship 4x400 relay team and ran the anchor leg on the 4x100 relay team that took 2nd at state.
