Laramie athlete McKenna Barham has made a name for herself on the soccer pitch as a two-time All-State goalkeeper. Now she is making a name for herself in wrestling as she took 1st place at 130 pounds in the huge Ron Thon Tournament in Riverton. Barham defeated Wheatland's Ariel  Kumelos to get to the top of the podium with a 7-3 decision. She had 4 pins on the way to the championship match.

Barham has been incredible this season as she placed 1st at the Charlie Lake Tournament in Cheyenne at 135, along with a first-place finish at the Shane Shatto Tournament in Douglas at 130, She also won the Lander Invitational at 130 so Barham has been a model of consistency. She is a superior athlete and a sound technical wrestler with a record of 22-2 this season.

We had a chance to chat with Barham after her championship match at the Ron Thon and winning that championship belt is an unforgettable feeling.
