Alexandria and Kendra Michael were two key pieces to Thunder Basin's 4A girls' soccer state championship last month. Now, they'll play at the next level.

Alexandria is heading to Greeley, CO, after signing with the University of Northern Colorado (UNC). She was a two-time all-state and all-conference selection at Thunder Basin High School. Alexandria scored six goals and had a team-high 18 assists during the 2022 season. That was good for 30 points, which was third on the Bolts' squad. As a junior, Alexandria had six goals and ten assists. She also had one assist as a freshman in 2019.

Kendra signed with the new women's soccer program at Lamar Community College in Lamar, CO. The 2022-23 season will be their first in school history. She was a second-team all-conference pick as a goalkeeper. Kendra allowed only three goals all season and finished with a 0.233 goals-against average. She had 11 shutouts and made 38 saves her senior season. Kendra was 14-0 last season in the net. As a junior, she played in ten games and made 23 saves with one shutout. Her goals-against average was 0.416. Kendra also played in two matches as a freshman in 2019 and made four saves.

Both of the Michael sisters were team captains as seniors. They helped Thunder Basin win the Class 4A State Championship with a record of 18-0. The Bolts out-scored their opponents 74-4 in the 2022 season.
