For the second straight WyoPreps Coaches and Media Boys Basketball Poll, there are five new teams in this week’s rankings.

There are two ties in the poll, and most of the changes were in the bottom three classifications.

Class 1A has new teams in fourth and fifth. The top three remained Upton, Dubois, and Saratoga. The Bobcats are the only unanimous pick for No. 1 in this week’s rankings. Little Snake River jumped into the poll at No. 4. Meeteetse also debuted in the poll. The Longhorns are fifth.

The other class with two new teams is 2A. The top four didn’t change in that division. Pine Bluffs held No. 1. The Hornets garnered 12 of the 16 first-place votes. Tongue River stayed second, and the Eagles got the four other votes for the top spot. Wind River and Rocky Mountain are still third and fourth.  Big Horn and Greybull both jumped into the rankings. The Rams and Buffs are tied for fifth.

Douglas is still on top of Class 3A. The Bearcats earned 16 of the 20 first-place votes. Worland’s win in the Big Horn Basin Tournament last week helped the Warriors climb to second. Buffalo fell to third. Rawlins holds steady at No. 4. Lyman is back in the rankings in fifth after their head-to-head win over Kemmerer last week.

In 4A, Thunder Basin remained at the top. It’s a place the Bolts have been since the preseason poll. Thunder Basin received 12 of the 16 first-place votes. Kelly Walsh is still second in the rankings. Sheridan and Cheyenne East are tied for third. Cheyenne Central is alone in fifth this week.
