Newcastle Remains in Playoff Hunt Defeating Glenrock

The Newcastle Dogies are seeking their first playoff appearance since 2017 and are one win away from joining the 2A football tournament. The Dogies dispatched Glenrock on Friday 26-12 to get to 3-4 on the year. Three of the Dogies' losses this season have come to some pretty good teams in Buffalo, Tongue River, and Big Horn. Their biggest test of the season will be this Friday when they host Torrington. If Newcastle wins, they will secure the #4 seed in the 2A East but if they lose, they will be eliminated.

Glenrock will wrap up the regular season against Upton-Sundance and the Herders are 1-6 on the year with their lone win over Kemmerer. Glenrock has been eliminated from playoff contention and has not made the postseason since 2018.
