The final WyoPreps Coaches and Media Softball Poll looks the same as it has been over the last couple of weeks.

Heading into the state tournament that starts on Thursday in Gillette, Cheyenne East is the favorite.

In the last poll of the season, the Thunderbirds claimed the top spot for the eighth straight week. Cheyenne East got 15 of the 17 first-place votes. They have been ranked No. 1 since the second poll of the season.

Defending champion Thunder Basin held the second spot. The Bolts got a pair of first-place votes. They were the preseason favorite and stayed second for the rest of the season.

Campbell County, Cody, and Kelly Walsh rounded out the top five for the third straight week.

The Camels won the first title two years ago. They enter the championships as a No. 3 seed. The Fillies won the West Conference, while the Trojans were second. KW and Campbell County will square off in the first round on Thursday.
