The annual Jerry Campbell meet in Buffalo featured some great weather for April and plenty of sharp performances. One of the finest athletes in the state is Addie Pendergast from Sheridan who competed for Tongue River last season. In Buffalo on Saturday, she swept all of the sprints; winning the 100-meters  in 12.48, the 200 in 25.65, and the 400 in 57.51. She was the 2A State Champion in 2021 in the 100, 400, and the 800-meter run.

In the rest of the girls running events in Buffalo, Ada Nelson of Cody won the 800 in 2.24.80, Alyssa Fehlauer from Sheridan took the 1600 with a time of 5.35.93 with Zena Tapia from Worland captured the 3200 with a time of 12.29.47.  In the hurdle races, Carly Norman from Buffalo placed first in the 100 in 16.10 while Jayden Friedly of Thunder Bason won the 300 with a clocking of 46.52. Thunder Basin won the 4x100 relay, Sheridan the 4x400, Cody the 4x800, and Campbell County took the 1600 medley.

Over in the field events, Dulce Carroll of Sheridan cleared 4-11 to win the high jump with Olivia Maertens of Buffalo clearing 9-7 to win the pole vault. The long jump winner was Powell's Waycee Harvey at 16-4.75 with Aja Roberts from Campbell County going 32-8 to win the triple jump. In the throwing events, Mckenna Hayes of Campbell County took the shot-out going 40 feet 7 inches, and Sheridan's Hanah Sullivan won the discus with a toss of 129 feet 9 inches.

In the girl's team standings, Sheridan took first with 144 points, Thunder Basin 2nd with 114.2, and Campbell County 3rd with 85.7

On the boy's side for the sprints, Big Horn's Jax Zimmer ran 11.51 to win the 100-meter dash, Buffalo's Kieran Murray won the 200 in 23.92 and Nathan Fitzpatrick of Sheridan won the 400 in 51.42.  In the hurdles, Steven Mansheim of Thunder Basin won the 100 in 15.97 with Keltan Ewing from Douglas going 40-57 to win the 300. Over in the distance races, Camryn Spence of Douglas prevailed in the 800 with a clocking of 2.01.34 with Daniel Merritt of Powell running 4.43.34 to win the 1600 meter run. The 3200 winner was Charlie Hulbert of Cody in 11.11.4. Campbell County placed first in the 4x100, Sheridan won the 4x400 with Worland taking gold in the 4x800 and the 1600 medley.

In the field events in this Buffalo meet, Cody's Robby Porter won the high jump at 6-4, Gaige Tarver of Sheridan cleared 13 feet to take the pole vault, the long jump winner was Casen Hiser of Lovell at 20-2.75 and Luca Brooks of Upton won the triple jump with a leap of 41-5.5. Powell's Toran Graham threw 55-6.75 to place first in the shot and Quinn Lindsey of Lovell overwhelmed the field in the discus with a throw of 164-1.

In the boy's team standings, Sheridan took first with 95 points, Powell 2nd with 87.25, and Worland was 3rd with 77.  Please take a look at our photo gallery below of the Buffalo meet plus our video of the proceedings. Enjoy!
