Brown, Bettinger Represent Wyoming at PGA National Invitational

The 2026 PGA High School Golf National Invitational is underway at Pinehurst Resort and Country Club in North Carolina. Two young women are representing Wyoming in this year’s invite-only field. Both are playing as individuals. First is 2025 Class 4A state champion Madison Brown, a recent graduate from Evanston High School. The other player from the Cowboy State is Addison Bettinger, the 2025 Class 3A state champion from Buffalo High School. She will enter her senior season this fall.

TWO WYOMING FEMALE GOLFERS ARE AT THE NATIONAL INVITATIONAL

The girls’ portion of the event runs from Saturday, July 11, through Monday, July 13. The field of more than 200 golfers is playing 54 holes of stroke play on Pinehurst’s No. 1 and No. 5 courses.

Brown is in a trio with golfers from Washington and Vermont. They teed off at 8:36 a.m., Mountain Time. They play Pinehurst No. 1 in the first round on Saturday and No. 5 on Sunday.

Bettinger teed off at 8:27 a.m., Mountain Time. She will be playing in a trio that includes players from Indiana and South Carolina. They start on Pinehurst’s No. 5 course on Saturday and will play No. 1 on Sunday.

The course for the golfers in the final round on Monday will be released after round two on Sunday.

The boys’ event will be from July 18-20, 2026, at Pinehurst. Eight players, including one team, from Wyoming will be participating.
