The 2026 Wyoming High School Golf State Championships begin on Friday and Saturday in Evanston and Torrington. WyoPreps spoke with two hosting head coaches to gain some insight into what to expect in the top two classifications. We discuss preparations as a host, how the golf courses will be set up for high school players, the challenges the players will face, and a breakdown of each classification.

We begin our preview with Class 3A. WyoPreps spoke with Torrington head coach Jade Reinhardt about hosting at The Cottonwood Country Club in T-Town. Then, WyoPreps chatted with Evanston head coach Travis Robinette about the Purple Sage Golf Course for the 4A Championships.

It will be 36 holes of medal play. The first round is on Friday, and the final round is on Saturday. The top 10 players and ties in each class will earn all-state awards for the 2026 season. Good luck to all the players and teams!

The Class 2A Championships will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 22 and 23, in Evanston, on the same course as Class 4A. The host school decides which course to play at, but it must be an 18-hole course. Kemmerer is the host team, and they chose the Purple Sage Golf Course as the site. After the WHSAA Board of Directors approved a change to the golf calendar, the season was extended by three days into next week to accommodate Kemmerer hosting at Evanston.
