PhotoFest: Cheyenne Central Earns #6 Seed in 4A Football Playoffs
Cheyenne Central has been winning football games with a punishing ground attack and added another notch in the left column on Friday with a 35-10 victory over Rock Springs. Coming into the game, Mason Counter was 2nd in 4A in rushing yards per game at 112. The Tribe was ranked 3rd in rushing yards in the classification so that's where they make headway. Central broke a two-game losing streak with this win so they get the #6 seed in the 4A playoffs with a road postseason game on Friday at Natrona. During the regular season, NC edged Central 14-13.
Rock Springs went 3-6 in the regular season and will be the #7 in the 4A playoffs. The Tigers drew Cheyenne East in round one and lost to the T-Birds in the regular season 68-7. Rock Springs is making their 9th straight appearance in the playoffs. We have a few photos from the CC-RS game in our gallery below, courtesy of Tina Frady.
