PhotoFest! Gillette Volleyball Tournament

The huge Gillette Invitational Volleyball Tournament was held over the weekend with schools from a variety of classifications and a few institutions from South Dakota. After pool play on Friday, the top 8 teams advanced to the Gold Bracket and Laramie placed first in that group with a 25-17, 25-21 win over Campbell County. Laramie was ranked #1 in our WyoPreps 4A poll and the Camels were ranked 5th. Thunder Basin who was ranked 3rd beat Rapid City Christian 25-22 and 25-22 for 3rd.

The next 8 schools after pool play were placed in the Silver Bracket and Natrona was the winner there with a 25-10, 17-25, and 15-11 victory over Rapid City Stevens. Buffalo defeated Douglas 25-20 and 25-18. The final 8 schools were in the Bronz Bracket and Wheatland beat Sheridan for 1st place 25-18 and 25-18 with Sundance downing Burns 25-18 and 25-11 for 3rd.
