PhotoFest! Pine Bluffs Cruises by Moorcroft in 9-Man Football

Defending 1A 9-Man state champion Pine Bluffs has been on a roll lately and their last defeat was in the semi-final round of the 2021 playoffs. The Hornets erased Moorcroft on Friday 46-0 so they are 4 for 4 on the season.

Pine Bluffs got out of the gate quickly with a 21-yard run for a touchdown by Ryan Mohren which was followed by a pair of TD passes from Justin Lerwick to Shawn Shmidl and Carsten Freeburg. Those plays went for 36 and 38 yards respectively giving the Hornets a 19-0 lead after one quarter of play.

It was more of the same in the 2nd quarter as Cameron Jessen ran it in from 6 yards out and Lerwick found for 2 yards and a TD. The Hornets led by 33 at the halftime intermission. Lerwick and Jessen also had rushing touchdowns in the 4th quarter and Pine Bluffs defense turned in a terrific effort.
