Powell rebounded from a heartbreaking loss to Star Valley as they ran by Evanston on Friday 36-14 to improve to 6-1 overall and 2-1 in the 3A West. The Panthers lost on a late field goal to the Braves but jumped on the Red Devils in the first quarter with a pair of scoring runs from Cody Siefert that covered 3 yards and one yard respectively.

The Panthers led by 14 entering the 2nd quarter quarterback Jhett Schwahn threw two touchdown passes, one to Trey Stenerson for 12 yards and the other to Evan Whitlock that covered 35. Evanston did answer with a TD of their own as Cohen Morrow chucked a 12-yard pass to Drew Barker but at halftime, the Red Devils were down 27-7.

Morrow and Barker hooked up for another touchdown in the 3rd quarter that went for 19 yards to cut the Powell lead to 27-14. The Panthers kicked a 27-yard field goal from Schwahn to lead after 3, 30-14. In the 4th, he added 2 more field goals and the defense did the rest.
