PhotoFest: Sheridan Sails Along in 4A Football at 7-0

Defending 4A football state champion Sheridan has been a juggernaut this season with 7 wins in 7 games following a 63-8 win over Casper-Kelly Walsh on Friday. The Broncs put the game away in the first quarter with 4 touchdowns as Dominick Berrettini reeled off a 54-yard run to the house followed by a 37-yard cruise to the end zone from Terran Grooms. Dane Steel continued the scoring parade in the opening quarter with a 15-yard run for a score and Berrettini scored again from 16 yards out.

Kelton Crow had a 10-yard TD catch in the 2nd quarter, Steel turned in a 33-yard run for 6, Nahir Aguirre had a 26 carry for a touchdown and Garrett Way ran it in from 10 yards out. It was 56-0 at halftime and it was a quick game with a running clock in the 2nd half.

Sheridan has their sights set on two home playoff games and will host 6-1 Natrona on Friday. Kelly Walsh is 2-5 but the Trojans in all likelihood will qualify for the 4A playoffs as the #7 or #8 seed. The Trojans will be in Gillette on Friday to meet Thunder Basin.
