PhotoFest: Thunder Basin Vs. Campbell County Volleyball

Two of the better volleyball teams in 4A collided on Tuesday as Thunder Basin played host to Campbell County in Gillette. Both teams were 9-2 this week and Campbell County placed 2nd in the Gold Bracket at the big Gillette Tournament over the weekend while Thunder Basin took 3rd.

In Tuesday's match, Thunder Basin prevailed in 4 sets, 25-22, 18-25, 25-16 and 25-23. The Bolts have a returning all-state player in sophomore Piper Martin and they have just 2 seniors on the varsity roster. Campbell County returns an all-stater in Aubrey DeWine and an all-conference selection in Payge Riesdesel. These two teams will be serious factors when the 4A State Tournament rolls along. Both Thunder Basin and Campbell County will be in the Star Valley Tournament this weekend.
