The Pine Bluffs boys basketball team has been remarkably consistent for the past few years. They have owned the 2A East for quite some time and won their 2nd state championship in the last 5 years with a 51-41 win over Big Horn on Saturday in Casper.

The Hornets got 20 points from Stu Lerwick who is a superb all-around athlete. Ryan Fornstrom had 17 so Big Horn had their hands full with those guys. This group went 26-3 and they really grew as a team compared to the 2020-21 season.

We had a chance to talk with Lerwick, Fornstrom, and coach Tyler Kimzey after that ballgame on Saturday at the Ford Center. State championships are always fun to talk about
