Pine Bluffs Boys Basketball Postgame Remarks

Pine Bluffs went 2-0 in the Glenrock quad on Friday with big wins over St. Stephens. The Hornets have been the star of 2A boys basketball in the East and this season shouldn't be any different. They have more than a few scorers as Stu Lerwick is a returning all-state player with Reed Thompson, Ty Sweeter, Collin Jessen, and Dalton Schaefer returning as all-conference selections in 2021.

We took some time to talk with Stu Lerwick and Reed Thompson after the Hornets win over Shoshoni on Friday. It was a sharp performance all the way around.

How Many Medals Have Wyoming-Born Athletes Won at the Olympics?

Wyoming isn't represented on Team USA for the 2020 (in 2021) Olympics in Tokyo. But, athletes born in Wyoming have competed for the gold a handful of times over the last century.

According to the folks at BeenVerified.com, seven Wyoming-born Olympians have competed on the world's largest stage.

Since the 1932 LA games, these competitors earned four Olympic medals; one gold, two silver, and a bronze. Wrestling, Track and Field, and Rowing are the evens where Wyoming-natives have shined.
