Powell Vs. Star Valley Football [VIDEO]

Star Valley came into Friday's match-up with Powell with 5 straight wins. The Powell Panthers were 4-1 so this was a premium match-up in 4A on Friday. As it turns out, Star Valley turned in a premium performance as they jumped right n Powell from the git-go. Dean Shaw had 2 touchdowns in the first quarter, a 47 yard and a 14-yard run, giving the Braves a 14-0 lead. Star Valley pounded away in the 2^nd quarter with a 31 yard TD reception from Shaw, via Brant Nelson and a field goal from Chase Merrill so the Braves were in command at the intermission 24-0.

Merrill wasn’t finished as he caught a 35 yard TD pass from Nelson and RJ Cazier capped the scoring with a 20 yard run for a TD in the 4^th quarter. Star Valley has been sharp so far this season and ran by Powell 36-0 to get to 6-0 on the year.  The Braves have a very intriguing game this week against a good Jackson team. Powell is now 4-2 and the Panthers have an intriguing game this week at undefeated Cody.
