Rawlins Breaks 18 Game Losing Streak with Victory over Pinedale
After 2 straight seasons without a win, the Rawlins Outlaws out a notch in the left column on Friday with a 39-6 win over Pinedale on the road. Rawlins received 3 touchdowns from Dian Henson with Charlie Fonseca and Sage Lonn also finding the end zone as well. The Outlaws put 16 points on the board in the first quarter and 11 more in the 2nd. They do have an all-conference player in Eli Kern and a new coach in David Hastings. The program has just three winning seasons since 1986 and this was a very young group a year ago, so the experience level is up.
Pinedale has struggled lately as well and has lost 15 in a row. They have a new coach in David Thrash and got their only touchdown on Friday from Ethan Jensen who was a 2A all-conference pick last season. Jensen is also sound on defense. Rebuilding and repairing the program takes time but the Wranglers should make some progress this season. Pinedale will host Lyman this week and Rawlins will be on the road at Gren River.
