The Rocky Mountain Grizzlies made a name for themselves in the very first round of the 2A state tournament as they knocked off tournament favorite Pine Bluffs 3 games to 2 in a thrilling match, 25-21, 17-25, 25-21, 18-25 and 15-13. Not bad for a team that came in as a #4 seed after playing some very tough matches in their regional tournament. After Rocky bounced Pine Bluffs, the Grizzlies fell to eventual state champion Sundance 3-0. They were eliminated by Glenrock in the consolation round to finish the year 20-15. This team had a couple of all-state players in senior Teagan Townsend and senior Aubrianne Crosby. In addition to those two, Taylin Boettecher made the all-conference team and she will return next season as a senior. This year's squad was senior-heavy so there will be some rebuilding for 2020
