PhotoFest! 2A West Regional Track & Field Meet

The 2A West Regional Track and Field Meet was held over the weekend in Shoshoni, and Friday's weather was conducive for the athletes to compete at a high level. On the girls' side, Kemmerer and Big Piney are loaded with talent, and they finished 1-2 in the team standings, 187-181. Kemmerer's Laynee Walker won 3 individual events plus a 1st place finish in a relay, and Big Piney's Micah Strong won an astounding 4 individual events. Greybull was a distant third, followed by Thermopolis and Wind River.

The Thermopolis boys also have a ton of talent, and they were runaway winners in this meet with a whopping 278.5 points. Kemmerer was 2nd with 133, Big Piney 3rd with 97.5, followed by Wyoming Indian and Rocky Mountain. Cole Rogers of Kemmerer won 4 individual events, so needless to say, he's a terrific athlete.
