The high school rodeo season moved along over the weekend in Torrington with 2 performances. On the boy's side of things, Roedy Farrell of Thermopolis placed first in the bareback with a 73 on Saturday with Saratoga's Tuker Carricato taking first on Sunday with a 70.  In bull riding, no one had a qualified ride on Saturday but Hunter Boydston from Grover, Colorado posted a 65 for the win. In the saddle bronc event, Lef Meidell of Harrison, Nebraska took top honors on Friday with a 73 with Greybull's Jake Schlattman 2nd with a 67. On Sunday, Schlattman was first with a 69 and Meidell 2nd with a 64

In the boy's timed events, Cannon Campbell of Shoshoni posted a 6 and 8 to win the Saturday steer wrestling with Jase Longwell of Thermopolis taking 1st on Sunday with a time of 5.24. In the team roping, Cord Herring of Veteran along with Broc Schwartzkopf of Douglas timed out at 6.26 in the first session while Sage Romero of Rock Springs with Gatlin Pendleton from Manila, Utah placed first in the 2nd session with a time of 7.62. Tate Talkington of Scottsbluff, Nebraska won the Sunday session of the tie-down roping in 8,57 with Keyton Hayden of Gillette placing 2nd in 9.39

On the ladies' side, Rayne Grant of Wheatland won both sections in the barrel racing in 15.262 and 15.1.44 respectively. In the breakaway roping on Saturday, Bradie Crouse of Blair, Nebraska won the session with a time of 2.12 with Kasey Carr of Jackson 2nd with a clocking of 2.29. On Sunday, Tavy Leno of Sheridan posted a time of 2.66 for first place. In the goat tying, it was Tavy Leno winning both days going 7.16 on Saturday and 6.86 on Sunday. In pole bending, Ashlyn Goven from Rozet took 1st in Saturday's performance with a time of 20.808 while Rayne Grant of Wheatland placed first on Sunday at 19.651

The next prep rodeo will be Friday and Saturday in Big Piney
