The Sheridan boys basketball team had some serious firepower in 2020-21 and took the bronze medal at the 4A state tournament back in March. In the opening round of the state tourney, the Broncs overwhelmed Riverton 64-44 as Sam Leholat had 15 points and 10 rebounds. He's was capable of doing that kind of stuff every game. Zach Kolista chipped in 10 as Sheridan never trailed in the game and made 7, 3 pointers.

It was a battle of the titans in the semi-final round as the Broncs tangled with eventual state champion Cheyenne Central. Sheridan had a rough go of it in the 2nd and 3rd quarters and lost 67-45. They shot just 27% from the field in the game and were led in scoring by Lecholat with 11.

Sheridan did end the season on a high note with an 81-62 win over Star Valley in the 3rd/4th place game. 41 points were scored in the first quarter with these two teams and the Broncs led this contest by as many as 28., Lecholat finished with 20, Carter Dubberly chipped in 15, Reed Rabon had a dozen and Frank Sinclair had 11. Sheridan wrapped up the season with a record of 19-4.

Lecholat is a Montana State signee and was a 4A all-state selection. The 6-6 pivot averaged 17 points and 10 rebounds per game which is beyond outstanding. Frank Sinclair was named all-conference and he threw in 10 points per game. Sinclair will return as a senior next season so that's something to build around and the program lost just 3 seniors this year to graduation. We have a short video of the Broncs at the state tournament. Enjoy.
