Sheridan senior Aiden O’Leary is heading to Black Hills State University for track and field next year. O’Leary has been a standout hurdler for the Broncs and gets an opportunity to continue that in the Yellow Jackets program.

O’Leary was the 4A runner-up in the 300-hurdlers (39.26) at the outdoor state track meet last May. He added a fifth-place finish in the 110-hurdles (15.34). O’Leary also ran a leg on Sheridan’s fourth-place 4x100-meter relay and third-place 4x400-meter relay teams.

In 2022 at the state track meet, O’Leary qualified in both hurdle races and was on the runner-up 4x400 meter relay for the Broncs.

O’Leary also played football for SHS. He helped the Broncs win the 4A state championship in 2021, 2022, and 2023. He was a first-team all-conference selection at defensive back this fall. He was an honorable mention all-conference DB in 2022.
